The best guesthouses in Beijing

We stayed in two different guesthouses in Beijing. Both oasis of peace in such a huge, busy city. The guesthouses are in two different price ranges and are both great recommendations!

Kelly’s courtyard $$
Kelly’s courtyard is situated in a traditional Hutong in Xidan District. Kelly and her husband own the Guesthouse. It is a traditional guesthouse provided with all modern facilities. Kelly and her husband are very hospitable and helpful.

The rooms are situated to a spacious courtyard, where a delicious breakfast is served every morning. There is a television room and a huge roof terrace with a view over the neighbourhood. All the rooms have a private bathroom, air-conditioning, heater and a water boiler.

Restaurants surround Kelly’s Courtyard, The Forbidden City and Tiananen-square are at walking distance. A subway station is just around the corner of the guesthouse to explore the other districts of Beijing.

Peking Station Hostel $

Peking Station Hostel is central situated, near Dongdan subway station, an ideal location to explore Beiing. Peking Station Hostel is modern furnished, very clean and provided with all modern facilities. In the common area is a bar and restaurant, full of plants, flowers and a spacious patio. Peking Station Hostel is the best spot to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. You can book a dorm or a double room with private bathroom. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Good, budget Chinese restaurants to have dinner surround the hostel.
