Tipi Valley is located in the Western Algarve of Southern Portugal. The retreat is nestled away in a secluded natural valley on the dramatic Portuguese Atlantic coast. The temperature of the Atlantic may be on the chilly side but that won’t matter at all once you’re cruising some of Europe’s best waves. During a week at Tipi Valley you’ll visit the beaches of Odeceixe, Monte Clérigo and Amoreira for your daily surf lessons.
The camp has multiple spacious tipi tents to sleep in. The beds are comfy, you have a little closet and a light to read at night. The facilities in the valley are simple but charming and comfortable. Everything has been constructed from locally sourced products and is designed to reduce its footprint on the environment. You can either book a 5 or 7-day retreat. You start the day with a warm cup of herbal tea and some fresh fruit before the first yoga class. After an hour of stretching a proper healthy breakfast is served on the large communal table to get you energized for a day of surfing. Everyday you’ll get picked up to go to the beach and are dropped back again around 16:00 in the camp. After the surfing lesson you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the beach and have spare time to either practice your surf or relax. At 17:30 the second yoga class of the day starts in the camp. The day ends with a sublime, healthy Portuguese dinner, freshly prepared with ingredients out of their own garden.

By consuming less and always keep learning Tipi Valley believes in sustainable growth. ‘We keep our guest numbers to a minimum by operating only between May and October, and promote and support other local businesses in a holistic way.’
