Woobar W Taipei
If you feel like cocktails and good food on one of the most amazing rooftops in Taipei check out the Woobar in W Taipei. It’s situated in the heart of Da’an district. Drink your cocktail around the pool viewing the 101 Tower or sit down in the cosy lounge at the bar. Woobar has delicious bites on the menu and a good selection of wines.

This Mediterranean bistro is a good place for tasteful and delicate food and wine. There is a bar table in front of the open kitchen where you can enjoy watching your meal being prepared by the smiling young cooks.

Herban Kitchen & Bar
Although it is hidden in a small side alley, It’s worth the effort to find the place. The kitchen is based on Mediterranean food and all dishes are vegetarian or vegan. On the menu there are pasta’s, soups, salads and delicious vegan burgers. Combine it with a good glass of wine and you have a perfect meal.

Ombré
In front of Herban there is another Mediterranean restaurant with a lovely interior surrounded by greens. It is a great place to have dinner, brunch, desert and a good glass of wine. Ombré is famous for its red velvet cake, but the browny cheesecake is our favorite, especially with a cool glass of sparkling wine!

Ding Tai Fung
This number one dumpling (steamed bun) restaurant owns a Michelin star. Skip it during the weekends to avoid the crowd. The little dumplings taste good, but it’s not that special. The service and price are excellent and you can check out how these little dumplings are made in the kitchen that is visible through a glass window. It’s located inside the 101 towers basement-food hall.

This little elegant French bistro is a bit hidden in the alleys of Taipei’s Guting area. The menu features a fusion of French, Taiwanese and Chinese flavors. Its signature dishes are plates of goose meat like the viande d’oie au sel maison and confit d’oie maison.

Frog Cafe
Situated in the old town fabric and herb district, this cute hipster style cafe/studio is a good stop for coffee, tea or to buy some souvenirs. Frog Café, is a café, kitchen and gallery all in one and has outdoor seating as well. Take a seat by the window overlooking the quiet streets. In the shop on the ground floor you can buy wooden carving gifts and cool photography.

This arty three floor loungebar is a populair nightspot. During the weekend Revolver hosts some of Taipei’s best bands and DJ’s. The friendly staff uphold a rock’n’roll atmosphere. Great place for cheap beer & cocktails, to chill out, meet people (mostly hipsters, students and expats) and show your dance moves on the second floor.

Hidden on the second level of Marquee bar, across Taipei 101 is a lounge cocktailbar. This vintage style bar is headed by one of the best bartenders in the world, Agnus Zou. When you open the sliding doors on the second floor you feel like going back in time. Agnes has an eye for detail; the fire place, leather sofa’s, candle lights and even the bar tools are all in style. Choose one of your favorite classic cocktails or let Agnus make a special cocktail for you, they are all fantastic!

Lovely cocktail bar located in Taipei’s art centre Huashan. Just tell the bartender what kind of flavor you prefer and they will make you a cocktail you’ll never forget. Pig bar
Great (new) spot for an afterwork cocktail with Spanish tapas. The bar is known for it’s jambon de serrano, it appears to be the only restaurant in Taipei serving this delicious appetizer.
