Sinai, the triangular peninsula of Egypt forms a bridge between Asia and Africa. Visiting for the second time this year I had an idea what to expect; crazy desert landscapes, a clear blue sea with colourful reef and an ultimate place to relax.
From Holland you can take a direct flight with Transavia to Eilat, southern Israel. From there you easily go by taxi to the Egyptian border. Once you passed, Taba Heights where we stayed this time is just a 20 min ride away.
Taba Heights is an all-inclusive village with five different resorts. It’s situated on the Northern area of the Sinai Peninsula. We stayed in The Bayview resort, a big resort situated right at the beach, with beautiful rooms, a huge swimming pool and various bars and restaurants offering tasty food, drinks and entertainment at night.
When I thought all-inclusive I thought about sun, sea, drinks and relaxing on your sunbed all day. As great as this sounds to a lot of people it’s not really my cup of tea. But being a first time all-inclusive person I was proven all wrong. We did amazing trips and activities every day and explored the whole area. We went on a relaxed snorkelling tour by boat, we did a jeep safari and hike in the desert, definitely one of my highlights walking through this amazing red, orange desert landscape and last but definitely not least we woke up at 04:30 to go on a daytrip to visit Jordan and world wonder; Petra!
All together I absolutely loved the whole vacation everything was arranged very well by Sunweb and exceeded all my expectations. I do advice to really check the news and the up to date travel advice of the area before you go. If everything looks good its an amazing value for money location with a variation of activities to do that you’ll remember a life time!
You can book this vacation online at Sunweb.
